Live shows require a somewhat different approach than production music. Whether accompanying live singers, action or dance, a complete musical concept must be developed which integrates live musicians, pre-recorded material, live-triggered sound effects and a timing scheme for events of indefinate length.

It requires flexibility and functioning together in a team with other creative artists in order to fabricate a cohesive whole which transports the desired theme and message. The result can often be even more powerful than a two-dimensional TV or movie screen.
