Jon Welch Bone Zone

This is a very special trombone quartet that performs original and modern trombone music in a variety of styles and always with just a touch of jazz. Their music is a true celebration of the four-voice trombone section and offers all the warm colors and textures associated with it. In addition to their concert program, the JWBZ also performs a selection of standards and evergreens in exclusive, original versions for occasions where an acoustic ensemble is desired to provide the proper backdrop for a dinner or event.  Jon works with only the best commercial trombone players in Germany and the constant quality of this ensemble more than proves it.

This is the live version of the versatile and experienced studio recording horn section. The group is presently working on its first commercial release which promises to put horns in never-been-heard-before musical situations and features some stunning collaborations. On this project, groove is spelled with a capital “G,” yet the music still successfully pursues the classic triumvirate of objectives: the listener’s head, heart and feet!
