The Medica 2009 took place in Düsseldorf from November 17-20, 2009. At this fair Roche Professional Diagnostics unveiled its new title song "Speak With One Voice", composed and produced by Jon Welch Music. Using the image of the cohesiveness of a family, this song was written to demonstrate the unity, strength and diversity within the Cobas Family of medical diagnostic equipment. At this event, "Speak With One Voice" was elaborately staged with musicians representing different musical traditions (Africa, Europe, USA) who then all joined in the performance of the new theme song to literally, together, "Speak With One Voice". The event was a resounding success and a the perfect kick-off for the sizable Roche stand at the Medica 2009. More than just a typical fact-filled corporate song, the work uses family imagery to represent the interconnectivity of the Roche family of diagnostic units. Borrowing on the musical stylings of Phil Collins and ABBA, the tune is infectious, catchy, and a rallying element amongst employees who, after the song's introduction, could heard humming and singing the refrain in the halls at the company's headquarters in Mannheim. Mission accomplished! At JWM we always strive for 100% customer satisfaction. At the event's end, the crowd at the stand had increased voluminously and with the launch of the new equipment a success, sales representatives embarked on their task of explaining what all the excitement was about. The Roche trade fair team was energized for the ensuing trade fair and Roche Professional Diagnostics was now fully equipped to chart a future course and "Speak With One Voice!"
